The Valiant Knight Rises

Greetings blogosphere! is there still a blogosphere? Anyway, welcome to my third, and hopefully final, attempt to bring this blog back to life. I won’t go though what’s changed, you’ll figure that out as we go. What I will talk about are my new plans for how to use this space. Basically I’ll be using it for my usual rants and ramblings as before but with a greater focus on my various hobbies. In particular modelling for table top wargames and reviews/opinions about various Board Games and RPGs. Around 6 months ago I managed to wrangle together some of my … Continue reading The Valiant Knight Rises

Mass Effect – More Thoughts

MASSIVE SPOILERS   Ok so first off I’ll establish a context for my question (Can’t believe I have to but anyway…) Assuming that despite popular opinion that the whole thing wasn’t a dream and Shepard wasn’t under Reaper control etc. etc. I’m curious what others think about the ‘Control’ ending and the moral stance we take on it. Initially I chose the Synthesis ending but after reading and watching the other endings I believe I’m finding more merit in the Control ending than I did on my first go at it. I considered Destroy (even actually started to walk back … Continue reading Mass Effect – More Thoughts

Mass Effect: Denouement

WARNING MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD Please, don’t read if you haven’t played the game(s) yet or are only half way through. I basically cut myself off from the internet and any news about ME3 after release and was far better off for it. Alright, this will probably get a bit lengthy so bare with me. Ok then, so it turns out people didn’t like the ending to Mass Effect 3, so much so that they are actively petitioning to get it changed, something I’d rather Bioware not do. Why? Because I liked the ending damnit and it’s fine how it is. … Continue reading Mass Effect: Denouement

The Enterprise Project–Day…uh?

Well it’s been a while but I finally have an update! Been unusually busy lately so haven’t dedicated the time I’d like to this project. Also I’ve been waiting for this: Yup that’s the famous Trek Modeller lighting Kit. They’re made to order (hence the wait) and sure ‘aint cheap but it’s worth it. So now that I have it I can finally start working on this thing again. I’ve done a bit since the last post but nothing overly significant. Basically the shuttle bay is not finished with transfers and so forth which means all the interior parts are … Continue reading The Enterprise Project–Day…uh?

The Enterprise Project–Day 48

Greetings all, work is slow but progressing. I’ve started on the shuttle bay, pretty much all the way there just have to do a little more painting and add some transfers. Here’s the progression: PUTTING ON THE EXTRA PARTS ROUGH PREVIEW PRIMED HOT DOG BREAK! LIGHT TEST Will do the transfers next then probably start painting the little people to place around the place. Keep watching, hopefully cooler stuff soon. – The Valiant Knight Continue reading The Enterprise Project–Day 48

The Enterprise Project–Day 34

Good news finally! After giving the company a bit of a hard word (including threats to contact banks and lawyers) they finally sent me the shit I payed for over a month ago. Public Holiday slowed it down a bit but it did come in today! So now I can finally start building the thing proper. Hopefully have a few updates but the weekend is pretty busy plus the weather (aka hot as fucking hell) makes it hard to do work at any other time but late at night. And it looks like it’ll be a fair bit of work … Continue reading The Enterprise Project–Day 34
